
If you are looking for some out of this world fun, stop in at the Fairfield Public Library for a day- long celebration of Star Wars on Saturday, October 6 – Star Wars Reads Day. There will be activities for all ages, including prizes, raffles and giveaways.
From the time the Library opens at 1 pm, until close at 5 pm, there will be an Art of Star Wars Exhibit and All Ages Crafts on the main floor. In the Children’s program room there will be Children’s Crafts & Snacks. In the Memorial Room there will be Film Screenings & Snacks. Star Wars books will be in featured displays on the main floor and in the Children’s section ready to be checked out.
At 2:00 pm there will be Teen & Adult Trivia in the Memorial Room, at 3:00 pm there will be WAMPA! (aka BINGO) in the Children’s section followed by Destroy the Death Star (i.e. break the piñata). The final event will be the after- hours Star Wars Teen Mystery Night (grades 6-12) from 6-8:30 pm. Registration is required for the teen after-hours event, but the rest of the day is drop-in.

Wear your favorite Star Wars costume, if you like, and you could win a prize. All events will take place at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.
