Fairfield 16-Year-Old Accused Of Graffiti Vandalism: Police
The teen has been charged with multiple counts of criminal mischief.
FAIRFIELD, CT — A 16-year-old Fairfield boy was arrested on multiple counts of second-degree and third-degree criminal mischief this week in connection with several recent instances of graffiti vandalism throughout the center of town, according to Fairfield police.
The teen, whose identity was not released due to his age, is accused of nearly a dozen different tagging cases that authorities were alerted to on May 2.
One of the vandalized pieces was the Mark Twain statute in the 1500 block of the Post Road.

"In total, ten different businesses suffered damage caused by spray-painted graffiti," said Fairfield Police Lt. Michael Paris in a statement. "A subsequent investigation, led by the Fairfield Police Quality of Life Unit in cooperation with the Fairfield Police School Safety Unit, revealed the identity of a suspect."
The teen was released on a Juvenile Summons to his parents, and he is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Juvenile Court at a later date.

"The Fairfield Police Department will continue to swiftly identify and hold those accountable who
are responsible for any type of vandalism that takes place in the Town of Fairfield," Paris said.
