The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Maintaining the quality services and education that residents expect and deserve while keeping taxes affordable.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I think for myself, and while I am a Democrat, I have and will work for the townspeople in my district and in the town, across party lines.

List other issues that define your campaign platform:

As a parent I care about providing future adults in town with the best education possible. I believe this maintains property values, keeps the tax base high and the tax rates low. I deeply care about keeping the elderly or disabled in their homes, as a diverse community is a thriving community. Additionally, I want to see infrastructure improvements and a greater investment in health, safety and green initiatives.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I was a cosponsor on the reusable plastic bag ordinance which illustrates my commitment to the health of our environment. I support the town budget for education showing my commitment to families and children. I supported the more strict and safe discharge of firearms in applicable shooting ranges through such legislation. I am the secretary of the finance subcommittee illustrating my commitment to understanding and shaping appropriate town expenditures and town financial health. I served on H Smith Richardson building committee to be a liaison between the committee and the RTM to provide transparency to both bodies and the public. I look forward to supporting legislation that provides tax relief for the disabled and elderly.

The best advice ever shared with me was ...

Use your head, then vote your heart.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I am balanced in my political views. I'm socially progressive and fiscally conservative. I take advice, do my research and once I understand a situation, I form an opinion.
