Fairfield Couple Suing Late Legendary Lawyer's Estate
The couple is owed more than $400,000.

A Fairfield couple is suing the estate of an iconic New Haven attorney, who died on Christmas Day 2013, over the more than $400,000 owed to them.
Michelle Tuccitto Sullo of the Connecticut Law Tribune reports an investigation that began shortly after William Gallagher died at the age of 76 revealed that his clients were owed almost $1.9 million and his accounts were able to cover only a fraction of it.
Fairfield’s Joseph and Cheryl Dee Soracco have the highest claim at $483,988 but were set to receive just $77,705 under the pro-rated distribution of $300,000 that was found in Gallagher’s accounts that was divided among 24 claimants, according to Tuccitto Sullo.

The Soraccos are trying to get more of the money owed to them through the Client Security Fund and also have a pending 2014 lawsuit against Gallagher’s estate, according to Tuccitto Sullo.
Joseph Soracco, an engineer, was severely injured in a fall at a construction site after stairs to a construction trailer were removed, according to the website.
