Fairfield Economic Development Teams With Fairfield Video Group

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Town of Fairfield’s Office of Community & Economic Development is pleased to announce a new partnership with Fairfield Video Group / CT Biz Tour to produce customized promotional videos for Fairfield small businesses at a special discounted rate. Under this program, bricks & mortar establishments located within the Town of Fairfield with five or fewer employees may be eligible to receive 50 percent reimbursement for these video production and marketing expenses up to a maximum of $450 per approved business.

“The past few years have been really challenging for many of our small businesses,” remarked
Fairfield Director of Economic Development Mark Barnhart. “This program is intended to help
these businesses build upon their customer base and recover market share following the
disruptions caused by the global pandemic” he added.

To be considered for the program and eligible for reimbursement, businesses must apply on-line
and be pre-approved by the Town of Fairfield. Approved businesses may then contract with
Fairfield Video Group/CT Biz Tour and create their own promotional videos. Businesses
enrolled in the program will receive a 60-90 second video as well as a 15 second teaser that they
can use for their websites and social media channels.

Owner and Executive Producer of Fairfield Video Group, Angelo Mendez, said, “We are very
excited to create video content for local Fairfield businesses, we look forward to helping local
business with quality journalism paired with professional video production.”

The program is funded through a grant from the United States Department of Housing & Urban
Development (HUD), and administered by the Town of Fairfield’s Office of Community &
Economic Development. Funding is limited. Applications will be accepted and processed on a
first-come, first-served until funds are fully committed.

First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick said, “Small businesses are an important part of the fabric of the Fairfield community. My administration has been committed from day one to providing them
with resources and support they need so they can continue to prosper and grow in Fairfield.” For
