The Friendly’s restaurant on the Post Road in Fairfield has reportedly closed.

According to a report in the CT Post, the restaurant, which was franchised by J&B Restaurants, closed earlier this week.

Earlier this month Friendly’s Corp. announced that it would be closing seven corporate-owned locations in Connecticut in preparation of its Chapter 11 filing for bankruptcy protection.

According to the company, Friendly’s stores in , Bridgeport, Danbury, Milford, Naugatuck, New Milford, North Haven, Southport and West Haven would remain open.

A following the Chapter 11 announcement had erroneously stated that the was corporate-owned and would not be closing.
