Fairfield Gas Station Crash Temporarily Shuts Down 2 Pumps: Report

FAIRFIELD, CT — Two teenagers suffered minor injuries early Wednesday when the vehicle they were in crashed into barriers at the Cumberland Farms gas station on Kings Highway East in Fairfield, narrowly missing hitting the pumps, reported News 12 Connecticut.

The crash occurred at about 1 a.m., and the 16-year-old driver did not have a license, according to authorities. The 17-year-old passenger was the other injured party.

Despite missing the pumps, two of the pumps were shut down as a result of the crash, but the station remains open, and the other pumps reportedly are operational.
