Fairfield Girl, 12, Sets New Guinness World Record

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield’s Madison Greenspan, a 12-year-old Unqwuowa School student, has set a new Guinness World Record for most slime ever made at one time, according to the Connecticut Post. Greenspan entered the record books after creating more than six tons of slime at the Play Fair Convention and Expo at the Javits Convention Center in Manhattan on Nov. 4.
Greenspan, who is known for having her own line of slime glue called Maddie Rae’s Slime Glue, broke the previous record of 11,024 pounds of slime made at one time. The final total for Greenspan’s record-breaking slime weighed in at 13,820 pounds. (Watch video of the record-breaking attempt at the end of the article).

More than 100 volunteers helped Greenspan mix her proprietary slime glue, liquid starch, purple pigment powder, and purple glitter to create the final slime in a massive pool, according to the Guinness World Records website.
The attempt took 1 hour and 57 minutes from first pour of glue to final measurement on an industrial scale that was provided specifically for this attempt. Jars of the slime were later given away to PlayFair attendees and also sold online, with all proceeds to be donated to hurricane relief funds.
