Fairfield To Host 'Power In Pride Picnic,' Flag Raising Monday
The Pride Month event is scheduled for the Town Hall Green in front of Old Town Hall, beginning at 5 p.m.
FAIRFIELD, CT — With June being Pride Month, Fairfield will host a "Power in Pride Picnic" in support of the LGBTQ+ community at 5 p.m., June 24, at the Town Green in front of Old Town Hall, First Selectman Bill Gerber announced.
The event will include a flag-raising ceremony, music, children's activities, and the reading of a Proclamation from Gerber.
"Fairfield is proud to celebrate the diversity and unity of our Town," Gerber said in a statement. "Pride Month is an opportunity for all of us to commit to acceptance and inclusivity, and to create an environment where everyone feels valued."
