Fairfield HS Seniors Win Awards, Honored Via Teleconference
"We truly wish we could do this in person with you," Superintendent Mike Cummings said.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Several Fairfield high school seniors were honored with the CABE Student Leadership Award or the Superintendent's Student Recognition Award during Tuesday's school board meeting, held via teleconference due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“We truly wish we could do this in person with you,” Superintendent Mike Cummings said. “... We know that you represent, in many ways, a very talented group of seniors in the Fairfield Public Schools.”
The CABE Student Leadership Award is presented annually in conjunction with the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education. Criteria for selection is based on exemplary leadership skills.

The 2020 recipients included: Natalie Sreckovic and Jake Banquer of Fairfield Ludlowe High School and Cassie Llewellyn and Abigail Hart of Fairfield Warde High School.
The Superintendent’s Student Recognition Award is presented annually in conjunction with the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents. Criteria for selection is based on community service, academic prowess, and leadership in the school community.
