Fairfield Land Acquisition Commission To Discuss Open Space Funding, 80 Congress Street
Fairfield's Land Acquisition Commission will discuss open space funding and 80 Congress St. at its Oct. 13 meeting.
FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Land Acquisition Commission is scheduled to discuss funding for open space acquisitions when it meets Tuesday, Oct. 13.
The discussion will focus on a Sept. 22 meeting with First Selectperson Vitale concerning funding for open space acquisitions.
As of Oct. 7, 2026, the commission's Open Space Fund had a balance of $54,525.36.

The commission also is scheduled to revisit 80 Congress St. under old business. The property is under consideration for possible acquisition by the town.

Commission members will also discuss a land acquisition worksheet with the town's Conservation Director Tim Bishop.
Other agenda items include the possible appointment of alternate commission members, approval of draft minutes from the July 14 meeting, and bills and communications.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the second-floor conference room at Sullivan Independence Hall, 725 Old Post Road. The meeting will be held in a hybrid format, with participation available in person and through Zoom.
Residents who call in to listen will not be heard by commission members. Live public comment will be permitted only when called for by the commission chair.
