Fairfield Police Seek Hit-and-Run Driver

Police are asking for the public's assistance with identifying the suspect. Watch video of the crash here.

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance with identifying a hit-and-run driver who fled the scene of a crash on Wednesday afternoon.

Police responded to a crash with reported injuries on Chambers Street near Johnson Drive at about 2:05 p.m. on Nov. 16.

The investigation revealed that a Silver Nissan Rogue was traveling east bound on Johnson Drive and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Chambers Street and struck a vehicle traveling south bound on Chambers Street, according to police.

The operator of the Nissan fled the scene and has not yet been identified. The operator of the second vehicle was transported to a local hospital for evaluation, according to police.

The Fairfield Police Department is seeking to identify the owner and/or operator of the Silver Nissan Rogue seen the video below. The vehicle in question is reported to have sustained heavy front end damage.
