Fairfield parents and grandparents celebrate the town's preschools in this week's Readers' Choice contest (and a sneak peek at next week's theme).

had this to say of Trinity Parish Nursery School: "What I love about Trinity Preschool is that there is a strong focus on social skills. Also, that they meet with our Kindergarten teachers and ask what skill they need to focus on to prepare children for Kindergarten- they are consistently told to focus on social skills!"
Of course, a simple poll on Patch is in no way reflective of the hours of thought and research that parents put in when choosing a preschool for their children. The amount of support that poured in for many of the preschools included in our poll should not go unrecognized.

For example, came in just a hair behind Trinity Parish Nursery School, with 26 percent of the total vote. left this review on St. Paul's Patch Places listing:
"St. Paul's is exactly what every parent wants for their child - a warm, loving, nurturing environment that helps little preschoolers grow into happy, well-adjusted, socially prepared kindergarteners. It is done through a play-based curriculum that we feel guides our children naturally, without any unnecessary pressure. These years are our children's first school experiences - and to see your child run into school, then run into your arms at pick-up with a huge smile and hug and then hear them sing the songs they learned during the drive home....Thank you St. Paul's for encouraging the love of learning through such a natural and organic way. It is bittersweet to move on after preschool - it is such a magical time for them at St. Paul's."
And let's not forget the other noteworthy comments and reviews left for other preschools Fairfield parents recommended:
- on Congregation B'nai Israel Early Childhood Center: "Congregation Bnai Israel Early Childhood Center is a wonderful nurturing environment - creative and fun, loving and empowering. It has been a joy to watch my child grow here and the new director, Alexa Cohen, is phenomenal! She's amazing to work with, and she cultivates strong bonds with each of the children."
- on : "I have had my children at many different preschools in Fairfield County. I can honestly say hands down that the staff at Small to Tall Preschool are the most loving, dedicated, warm, caring, responsible, professional that I have come across. They have been a god send to me and my family and have given us such flexibility and security knowing that our daughter is in a nurturing environment where she is being enriched on a daily basis. We saw this first hand when Luciana came home singing ABC's and Ring Around the Rosy at 16 months old!!! And then was counting to 10 by about 20 months old....thanks Small to Tall!!! She cannot wait to go in there every day and never wants to leave. I couldn't say enough wonderful things about them. Thank you Miss Kristen, Miss Bridget, Mr, Jared and everyone else at Small to Tall!!!"
- on : "With three children, we are in our sixth consecutive year at Presbyterian and are so sad that it is our last at this wonderful nursery school! The staff here is amazing---it is evident that they love what they do and are invested in each child. It is like a second family and I can't imagine having left my children in anyone else's hands!"
Thank you to everyone who participated in this week’s . Next week’s Readers’ Choice category: Places to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Until then, Slán go fóill!
