FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Republican Town Committee unanimously endorsed a full slate of candidates Tuesday for the municipal election in November.

“We couldn’t be prouder of this diverse, experienced, and talented team who stepped up to join our First Selectwoman in her quest for honest and good government," Chairman Alex Plitsas said in a committee news release.

"Our candidates have pledged to work together in the best interest of our town alongside our First Selectwoman who was elected by the voters of Fairfield to clean up corruption, modernize town government, and ensure a brighter future for our community.”

The Democratic Town Committee held its nomination meeting last week.

“I’m proud of the candidates who stepped up to serve our community to work with me (to) tackle the many serious issues facing our town, especially in the wake of the worst public corruption that’s ever been perpetrated against the people of Fairfield,” First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick said in the news release, referencing the charges of contamination and corruption brought against numerous former town officials in connection with the mismanagement of the Fairfield fill pile.
