Fairfield Residents Holding Fundraiser For Ukraine With Nonprofit

Fairfield Stands With Ukraine will showcase Ukrainian music, food and art while raising money to help those affected by the war overseas.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield residents are partnering with a local nonprofit to hold a fundraiser to celebrate Ukrainian culture while helping those affected by the war overseas.

The event, called Fairfield Stands With Ukraine, will be Wednesday night at Penfield Pavilion and will showcase Ukrainian music, food and art while raising money for Razom for Ukraine and the Ukrainian American Coordinating Council.

The fundraiser was put together by Fairfielders, including Yuliya Pokhodnya, who was born in Kyiv, according to CT Insider.

“We can’t just watch this,” she told CT Insider, which reported the event's organizers hope to raise $25,000. “We have to do something about it.”

Also involved in the event is area charity Al’s Angels.
