Fairfield Schools Closed Friday Due To Icy Forecast

FAIRFIELD, CT — Schools were closed Friday in Fairfield. Superintendent Mike Cummings cited icing conditions expected during early dismissal in a message to families posted on Facebook by school board Secretary Jessica Gerber. Freezing rain was forecast to start around 2 p.m. and continue into the early evening, according to the National Weather Service.
