Fairfield Sexual Predator Suspect Arrested On Child Porn Charge
The 65-year-old man faces a new charge of possession of child pornography.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Michael Gentile, 65, of Brewster, N.Y., who was one of 10 men arrested in a sexual predator sting operation in Fairfield last October, was charged with possession of child pornography on Wednesday, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
The Citizen reports Gentile turned himself in to Fairfield police on an arrest warrant.
Gentile allegedly had 24 sexually explicit photos of minors on his cellphone, according to the Citizen.
Fairfield Police arrested 10 men in a four-day undercover operation last October that was carried out in conjunction with former “To Catch a Predator” personality Chris Hansen and the State’s Attorney’s Office.

In the sting operation, the men went to a Fairfield house allegedly to meet up with someone they believed was either a 13-year-old boy or a 12-year-old girl they had been communicating with via the Internet and text messages.
