Fairfield Shooting Victim Drove Himself To Hospital: Police
When police found the victim's vehicle in the emergency room parking lot, it was damaged by bullet holes, authorities said.
FAIRFIELD, CT — A man drove himself to the hospital after being shot on Interstate 95 in Fairfield, according to state police.
State authorities were notified about 9:30 a.m. Friday that the victim had arrived at Bridgeport Hospital and reported the shooting, which occurred while he was traveling north on I-95, police said. The man suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, according to police. When troopers found the victim’s vehicle in the emergency room parking lot, it was damaged by bullet holes, police said.
Authorities shut down northbound I-95 between Exits 22 and 24 for roughly an hour while troopers investigated, according to police. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 203-696-2500, police said.
