Sherman Green will feature activities for children and families, including an inflatable bounce house, face painting by “The Painted Smile” and balloon artistry by Robbie’s Pack. Activities will also include a visit by “BB”, the Bluefish Mascot, and “McGruff”, the Crime Dog. Members of the Fairfield Teen Theatre Company will also be presenting a preview of their upcoming stage production of “Legally Blonde.”

This year’s event will feature live musical entertainment at multiple venues scattered throughout downtown. Musicians will be playing at various times from 11 am to 3 pm at venues set up at the Brick Walk, at Sherman Green, at Heritage Square in front of the Community Theater, and near the Fairfield University Bookstore.

Take a break from shopping and enjoy lunch at one of several participating restaurants downtown including Bodega Taco Bar, as well as Flipside Burgers & Bar, where at Flipside, mention of “Sidewalk Sale” will net diners 15% off their tab during the day of the sale, not including Happy Hour. The Italian Kitchen will be offering “A Taste of Italy” with small plates starting at just $3.00, plus pizza by the slice and festival style sandwiches.

First Selectman Mike Tetreau said, “I encourage everyone to come and be a part of this fun-filled event, which includes live musical entertainment at various venues within our downtown area, special menu offerings at our many fine participating restaurants, and activities for children and families.”
