Fairfield Sr Babe Ruth Wins Season Opener

Fairfield Sr Babe Ruth (16U) kicked off their summer with a resounding 10 - 4 victory over Danbury last Saturday, June 14th, at Tunxis Hill.
Starter Thomas Moore pitched 4 strong innings giving up 2 runs (1 earned) and striking out 5.  Patrick Craig pitched the remaining 5 innings, also giving up 2 runs and striking out 5.
The team overcame a 4 -1 deficit with a 5-run outburst in the 5th inning thanks to clutch hitting by Nick Stephens (1-4, 2B), and Nick Yee (2-4).  Roger Johns (2-3, BB, 2B), Kyle Brault (0-1, 4BB) and Patrick Craig (1-2, 2BB) all reached base 4 times in the game.
