Fairfield Students Win Art Awards

The Connecticut Scholastics Art Awards event is a juried show open to middle and high school students statewide.

FAIRFIELD, CT – Seventeen Fairfield students won awards at this year’s Connecticut Scholastics Art Awards event.

It is a juried show open to middle and high school students statewide.

The winning students were: Alison Gentry, photography; Peyton Siegel, photography; Katie Vaius, drawing and illustration; Emily Scimeca, photography; Jackie Berens, photography; Katie Hinkle, photography; Sara Greenwald, photography; David Rivera, ceramics and glass; Tristan Carey, painting; Jisoo Ki, painting; Kiara Gambuzza, photography; Zachary Lee, photography; Michah Maharry- Hill, photography; Jessica Hensel, painting; Ellen Doward, ceramics and glass; Chloe Yoder, painting; Daniya Ali, painting.

The students will be feted at an arts award ceremony on Sunday, Jan. 29 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the University of Hartford.
