He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 24, according to state judicial records.

Officials learned of the allegations about a month ago and Iwanicki was immediately placed on an administrative leave of absence pending an investigation, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Toni Jones said in a statement to FOX 61.

School officials sent an email to parents on Monday notifying them that a staff member had been arrested and has not been at the school or in contact with students since being placed on administrative leave when the investigation began, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Fairfield Citizen reports the 15-year-old has worked closely with Iwanicki on graphics projects and she told police the first incident occurred in early November.

The student said she stayed after class to help clean up silk screening equipment with Iwanicki, when he accidentally poured cleaning solution on his pants and she observed that he had exposed himself and didn’t move to cover up, according to the Citizen.

The second incident occurred about a month later. The student told police that Iwanicki never made overtures to touch her or sent her sexually suggestive texts or emails, according to the Citizen.
