Fairfield Woman Claims Bridgeport Cop Traded DUI Arrest For Sex: Report

The Bridgeport officer has been suspended and demoted following an internal investigation into the woman's allegations.

Bridgeport Police have suspended and demoted a sergeant, who is a decorated former K-9 officer, following an internal investigation into sexual assault allegations made by a Fairfield woman, who claims she was pressured into having sex with him to avoid being arrested for drunk driving, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports Sgt. Pasquale Feola, of Easton, was suspended for six months without pay and demoted to patrolman.

Sources also told the Post that the Fairfield Police Department is investigating Feola, a 12-year veteran of the Bridgeport Police Department, for the August 2013 incident.

The woman filed a civil inquiry in Bridgeport Superior Court earlier this year, claiming that she was involved in a motor vehicle accident while driving drunk and told the officer (Feola) that she had been charged with DUI twice before and was terrified about going to jail, according to the Post.

The woman claims Feola told her she was ā€œluckyā€ he was handling the case and drove her back to his home in Easton where he switched his police cruiser for his private vehicle and she performed oral sex on him on the way back to her apartment where they allegedly had sex, according to the Post.
