Fairfield's Greenfield Hill Commons To Host Pair Of Fall Events

The shopping center, at 75 Hillside Road, will host a Chalk Art Festival and a Scarecrow Contest.

FAIRFIELD, CT — The merchants of Greenfield Hill Commons, the shopping center at 75 Hillside Road in Fairfield, are hosting a pair of entertaining events this fall, according to organizers.

From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 29, the center will host the inaugural Chalk Art Festival, which will benefit the Friends of the Fairfield Public Library. All ages and skill sets are invited to take part and show off their artistic abilities through the use of chalk.

The second event is the return of the Scarecrow Contest, which once again will benefit the Norma Pfriem Breast Center in Fairfield and their Pink Pledge initiative.

"Get together with your family, friends, neighbors, or colleagues and make a scarecrow for a good cause!" organizers wrote in a statement.
