Fight Over Recyclables Leads to Broken Car Windshield
A Fairfield resident found two men fighting over recyclables outside his home and a bottle was thrown during the dispute.

A Bridgeport man was issued an infraction and Fairfield police are investigating a town man after a fight over recyclables led to a broken car windshield for a Burroughs Road resident, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
The Citizen reports the resident called police Sunday night after he observed two men fighting over the recyclables he left outside his home for collection and one of the men allegedly threw a bottle at the other man, who ducked and the bottle struck the windshield of the resident’s car.
Francisco Rendon, 67, of Bridgeport, was cited for the incident and police told the Citizen they know the identity of the other man, who allegedly threw the bottle, and said he has been involved in 14 documented disputes over recyclables since 2009.
