Former Bridgeport Board Of Ed Member Accused Of Assault In Fairfield
Chris Taylor reportedly was arrested in connection with an assault case involving a 17-year-old, according to authorities.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Chris Taylor, a former Bridgeport Board of Education member already facing attempted kidnapping charges, was arrested by Fairfield police this month in connection with an assault on a 17-year-old, according to authorities.
Taylor is accused of punching the teenager in the face on Aug. 13 during what police referred to as a road rage incident in the parking lot at Fairfield Ludlowe High School on Unquowa Road.
The Fairfield Citizen quoted Taylor as referring to the incident as a "small pinch."

Fairfield police charged Taylor with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace, and he is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Oct. 11, according to Lt. Michael Paris.
In late December 2019, Taylor was arrested on attempted kidnapping and a rash of related charges in connection with an incident in which he is accused of trying to kidnap his wife's adult son at gunpoint.

At the time, Taylor told News 12 Connecticut that the Seymour man had "substance abuse issues."
That case is still pending, and Taylor's next scheduled court hearing is Sept. 7.
Taylor served on the Bridgeport Board of Education from 2016 to 2021.
