Gentle Jazz Returns to the Fairfield Public Library
Darrell Courtley and his wife Mary will present selections from what has become known as "The Great American Songbook."
From the Fairfield Public Library
The Library welcomes back Darrell Courtley for an afternoon of Gentle Jazz.
Courtley will present selections from what has become known as “The Great American Songbook”. Songs like “Bye, Bye Blackbird”, “Pennies from Heaven”, “Lullaby of Birdland”, “Make Someone Happy” and many more will be included.
Darrell plays clarinet and his wife, Mary, is featured on vocals. They are accompanied by a computer-generated rhythm section of piano, bass and drums but expect some musical surprises.
Join us on Sunday, April 17 at 3:00 pm in the Memorial Room at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road. Registration is requested.
Darrell Courtley is a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and a long-time musician in the northern New Jersey area. He developed Gentle Jazz to share with others. It is music to make your toes tap, your fingers snap and your heart smile.
