When: Feb. 11, 12, 13 & 14 

Why Go: Greenhouse Grill will be featuring Chef Jim Grace's special Valentine's Day menu. The prix fixe, four-course menu highlights the restaurant's dedication to serving the freshest, most local ingredients. Highlights include a lobster bisque, house smoked salmon, broiled New England lobster paired with filet mignon and more. Additionally, the bar will feature romantic cocktails created specifically to complement the menu.

Pricing: Prix fixe menu, $75 per person. Bar and dinner menu available.

Fairfield Woods Branch

When: Feb. 12, 1 p.m.

Why Go: Are you fascinated by the possibility of ghosts? The Fairfield Woods Branch Library is hosting an afternoon with the Connecticut Paranormal Research Society this Saturday.

Fairfield University

When: Feb. 12, 1 to 3 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m.

Why Go: “The Met Opera Live in HD: Nixon in China, Adams.” The Metropolitan Opera in collaboration with Fairfield University will present this new production live in High Definition on the big screen. 

Pricing: Tickets: $22, $20 seniors, $15 children/students.

When: Feb. 12, 10 p.m.

Why Go: Kurt & Helen Band, a rock and roll vocal duo with a band to accompany their incredible harmonies.

Pricing: No cover. Bar and restaurant menu. Open daily for lunch starting at 11 a.m., dinner served on weekdays until 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on the weekends

When: Feb. 13, 2 p.m.

Why Go: “Documents of Freedom,” a lecture and exhibit by Seth Kaller who will discuss three unique historic documents that signal some of the most important political debates in American history. An exhibit of these original documents and others in Kaller’s collections will be on display for this presentation. The lecture will discuss a 1780 letter by George Washington, Abraham Lincoln’s historic 1864 state of the union address and an 1846 autograph quotation by Frederick Douglass.
