Golf Carts Near Fairfield Beach Area Hits Snag

FAIRFIELD, CT — The RTM has put a temporary stop to a proposal that would allow golf carts to be driven on town streets near the beach. The Police Commission which had authority under state law to set the rules gave the issue to the RTM to decide.

Some RTM members felt the Police Commission should have decided the issue, according to the Connecticut Post.

The plan is now to eventually send the mater back to the Police Commission.
