Gov. Lamont Visits Fairfield, Meets With Kupchick
Fairfield First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick met Friday with Gov. Ned Lamont.

FAIRFIELD, CT — First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick met Friday with Gov. Ned Lamont, during a visit to Fairfield from the governor, according to an email newsletter from Kupchick.
"Governor Lamont visited Fairfield and it was an honor to welcome him to our Town Hall," Kupchick, a Republican, said in the newsletter, adding that she and Lamont, a Democrat, discussed Fairfield's amenities as well as the challenges the town faces regarding contamination at the Fairfield fill pile.
The two leaders also talked about the increased cost of recycling in Fairfield, trending issues in Hartford's 2020 legislative session and Kupchick's plans to increase economic development and grow the town's grand list, according to the newsletter.
