Hawk Attacks Reported In Fairfield

Officials are monitoring an active hawk nest after several attacks have been reported in Fairfield.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield Animal Control officers are keeping a close eye on an active hawk nest on Dunnlea Road where four hawk attacks have been reported since March, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Citizen reports officials have reported the incidents to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Wildlife Division. No serious injuries were reported in the hawk attacks. (To sign up for Fairfield breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Last year, there were several hawk attacks that were reported in the Old Mill Road area and one in Greenfield Hill. As the number of reported hawk attacks increased, firefighters removed three hawk nests last year.
