Hazardous Weather Warnings for Fairfield

Expect lots of rain and wind for Tuesday into Wednesday.

Rain is on its way in a big, big way.

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Warning for Fairfield starting at 11 a.m. through 2 p.m. Tuesday along with a Flood Watch that is in effect from 6 a.m. Tuesday until 1 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The weather service has also issued a wind advisory from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Here’s the detailed forecast for Fairfield for the rest of the week from the National Weather Service:

  • Tuesday: Rain. The rain could be heavy at times. High near 44. Wind chill values between 25 and 35. Breezy, with a northeast wind 17 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 43 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
  • Tuesday Night: Rain, mainly before midnight. Low around 36. Wind chill values between 30 and 35. Breezy, with a north wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
  • Wednesday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 42. Wind chill values between 30 and 35. North wind 11 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
  • Wednesday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36. Northwest wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
  • Thursday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
  • Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34.
  • Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40.
  • Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32.
  • Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 42.
