HobbyTown USA of Fairfield recently expanded the store by taking on space previously occupied by Stryker Martial Arts Studio, which relocated to the Black Rock Turnpike. Hobbytown USA, which is located at the Fairfield Shopping Center, has been operating at its current location for 7 years. The store is the largest toy and hobby shop in Fairfield County and specializes in toys, games, models, trains, radio control vehicles, science kits, arts and crafts supplies and much more.
“We are really excited to have the opportunity to expand the store, and we thank our customers for their support.” said owner Marc Rosenblum. The store added 1,000 square feet increasing by over 30% in size. The new space will be used to expand and deepen product offerings to better meet customer needs. “Our customers have been asking for certain products which up to this point we have not had the space to carry. The new space will allow us to bring these products in.”, said Rosenblum. The new space will also provide the ability to host additional events. The store currently hosts weekly and monthly meetings of local gaming and modeling groups, and a semi-annual Model Contest. The store will host the first National Science Fair this coming January.
A grand re-opening is planned for Saturday September 7th, with a ribbon cutting scheduled for 11am, free prizes for the kids and special events planned.
