Holiday Memories at Fairfield Ludlowe High School

The Fairfield Ludlowe High School Drama Club is proud to present Holiday Memories for 3 performances on Friday, December 5 at 8:00 pm and Saturday, December 6 at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm, in the FLHS Auditorium, 785 Unquowa Road, Fairfield, CT. All tickets only $8.00.
Holiday Memories is comprised of two stories that are set in the past during a holiday season.
Act One is “The Thanksgiving Visitor” by Truman Capote, adapted by Russell Vandenbroucke, a story set in the South, about a young boy growing up with a bully problem. Miss Sook Faulk, a character based on Truman Capote’s older cousin, teaches Buddy the important lesson that, ”There is only one unpardonable sin--deliberate cruelty. All else can be forgiven”.

Act Two is “The Gift of the Magi” by O. Henry, adapted by Jon Jory,
about a young married couple, Jim and Della, and how they deal with the challenge of buying secret Christmas gifts for each other with very little money. Along the way, they teach the meaning of giving and true love.
