Holiday Movie Filmed In Southport Debuts On Netflix
"The Noel Diary" was filmed at a home in Southport in June 2021.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Though it was filmed in June 2021, the new Netflix holiday movie, "The Noel Diary," brought in fake snow for its shoot at a home on Center Street in Southport.
The film stars Justin Hartley, formerly of the hit NBC drama "This Is Us," as a best-selling author who discovers secrets of his past when he and a beautiful stranger discover an old diary among his deceased mother's personal effects.
In addition to Southport, the movie also filmed in other locations across the state; the Center Street home served as a romantic inn for the movie.

On Tuesday, the film, which debuted last week, was ranked as the number one movie on Netflix.
The film also stars Barrett Doss, Bonnie Bedelia and James Remar, and it was directed by Charles Shyer, who also directed "Father of the Bride" and "Baby Boom."

Besides "The Noel Diary," a spate of Netflix movies recently have been filmed in Fairfield, including Bradley Cooper's "Maestro," about Leonard Bernstein, and "The Good Nurse," which stars Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne.
