The Watermark at 3030 Park Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Jazz Festival and Art Walk

The Watermark at 3030 Park welcomes the public to celebrate their 50th Anniversary year with a Jazz Festival and Art Walk on Saturday August 4, from 1:00pm -4:00pm outside on the patio of The Watermark’s Gallery Café..

Art on display and for sale will feature local artists Linda Downing and other members of BRAG-Black Rock Art Guild as well as artist Rene Soares, photographer Deena Spector, and jewelry maker Sharon Trainor-Smith. Additional artists are residents Sue Chrien and Adele Waife (both former art teachers) and new resident and oil painter, Joe Vinny.

From 2:00pm – 4:00pm, Brian Q. Torrf and New Duke, an eight-piece dynamic horn band inspired by the work of jazz master Duke Ellington, will perform a blend of jazz, blues, and soul.

In addition to the festivities, donations will be accepted for the Watermark for Kids nonprofit program which encourages local youth, through financial scholarship awards, to build character, strengthen leadership skills and express creativity, compassion and spirit.

Refreshments will be served throughout the festival. In the case of rain, the event will be moved into The Watermark at 3030 Park’s auditorium.
