Juliana Sharp Presents Holiday Violin Concert at First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield

Juliana Sharp, a senior at Juilliard Pre-college and Bunnell High School, will perform works by Sibelius, Bach, Beethoven, and Massenet.

Juliana Sharp, a senior at Juilliard Pre-college and Bunnell High School, will perform a post-holiday concert on Sunday, January 4th at 4.p.m., at First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield. The program will feature works by Sibelius, Bach, Beethoven, and Massenet. Juliana will be accompanied by Nancy Weber on piano.

Juliana began playing the violin at the age of nine and has studied with both Dr. Ann Setzer in New York City and Dr. Stephan Tieszen in Woodbridge, CT for the past several years. Juliana was accepted into Juilliard’s Pre-college division when she was fifteen. Prior to Juilliard, she was a violinist in the Greater Bridgeport Youth Orchestras (GBYO) for six years, serving as the Assistant Concertmaster of the Principal Orchestra. She has traveled and performed with the GBYO throughout Germany and Austria. For several years she has spent her summers at the internationally renowned Meadowmount School of Music and has also attended the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival , the Waterville Valley Chamber Music Center and was the violinist in the Trillium Trio coached by Millet Alexander.

Juliana was the winner of the JC Music-Yale School of Music Competition and has been a finalist and alternate winner in the American Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition. She also represented Connecticut in the MTNA Senior Performance Competition.
