Kier Dullea, Mia Dillon of Fairfield Read Rowayton Playwright's Latest at National Arts Club
The reading of Mary Jane Schaefer's "Judith Shakespeare Has Her Say" takes place Dec. 15 in New York City.

The performance has participants from Stratford, Weston, Greenwich and Fairfield.

The National Arts Club in New York City will be presenting a staged reading of Rowayton CT playwright Mary Jane Schaefer’s new full-length play, “Judith Shakespeare Has Her Say” on Dec.15 at 7 p.m.
This is the second play in Ms. Schaefer’s trilogy about the life of William Shakespeare. The first play of her trilogy, “Shakespeare Rising,” was presented at the Utah Shakespeare Festival 2014 this past August. Earlier it had been given a reading at The Fairfield Museum.

Keir Dullea is best known for his starring role in the iconic film “2001: A Space Odyssey,”as well as his acclaimed Broadway appearance in “Butterflies Are Free” with Blythe Danner. Also starring in the current play as the title character is Mia Dillon, Tony-nominated for her performance in “Crimes of the Heart.”
Other distinguished members of the Theatre Artists Workshop also appear, notably Emilie Roberts of Weston as Young Judith, Katie Sparer of Stratford, Sean Hannon of Weston, Richard Leonard of Cos Cob, Betty Jinnette of Norwalk, and Carolyn Marble of Ridgefield. Guest actors include Lucy Babbitt and Mark Frattaroli (Stratford).
Mark S. Graham of Stratford directs. He has worked closely with Ms. Schaefer on the development of each play.
The National Arts Club is located at 15 Gramercy Park South (20th St.).
Admission for the Dec. 15 reading is free. Reservations are advised.
