To the editor:
Alexis Harrison has a proven record in advocating for the best interests of Fairfield. Her leadership roles and longtime commitment to the community make her the right choice for the Town Plan and Zoning Commission. A Fairfield native, Alexis has made a positive and enduring impact through her dedication to good government and environmental stewardship.
Having previously served on the Representative Town Meeting and FairTV Commission, and a current member of the Board of Assessment Appeals, Alexis is well versed in the laws and regulations that govern our municipality. As co-president of Fairfielders Protecting Land and Neighborhoods (FairPLAN) and active member of the bipartisan #CT169Strong organization, Alexis has a clear understanding of balancing development needs with land conservation.

It is in this civic capacity that I have gotten to know Alexis on a personal level. As a longtime resident, I am continually amazed by her commitment to her fellow citizens, whether advocating in public hearings or organizing over 28 food drives over the course of the pandemic. No matter the situation, Alexis always represents a strong voice for our community.
Deep-rooted passion for our town coupled with the ability to make smart and sustainable decisions make her the right candidate for this position. Her vast knowledge of land use challenges and environmental advocacy are valuable assets that can only strengthen the commission in planning Fairfield’s future. I proudly endorse Alexis Harrison for the Town Plan and Zoning Commission.
