Man, 91, Arrested For Trying To Kiss Wife: Report
A Fairfield nursing home had the man arrested, but he says he was just trying to kiss his wife goodbye, according to a report.
FAIRFIELD, CT — A 91-year-old Easton man was arrested and charged with criminal trespass at the Regal Care nursing home in the Southport section of Fairfield, but he says he just wanted to kiss his wife goodbye, according to the Connecticut Post.
Heinz Vonkuthy told the Post that his wife was happy to see him but officials at Regal Care told him to leave and had police come and arrest him. Police said that Regal Care’s management wouldn’t let him kiss his wife because they were concerned he would pass items to her through his mouth, according to the Post.
Police have been called to the nursing home 26 times for incidents regarding Vonkuthy, the Post reports.
