Man Brought Child To Armed Robbery Of Dunkin’ Donuts: Police
Police say a man brought a young child with him while he robbed a Dunkin' Donuts at gunpoint in Fairfield.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Police say a man brought a young child with him while he robbed the Dunkin’ Donuts at the Merritt Parkway rest area in Fairfield at gunpoint on Thursday night. The robbery occurred at about 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 31 at the Route 15 Southbound rest area in Fairfield, according to Connecticut State Police.
Police said the suspect displayed a black handgun during the robbery while the child stood by the door. They then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. State Police K-9 units arrived on the scene and performed a track that yielded negative results, police said. No one was injured during the robbery, police said.
Witnesses at the scene described the suspect as a black male, approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall, wearing a mask, black sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and red sneakers. He was accompanied by a juvenile black male wearing a green coat and tan pants.

Detectives of Western District Major Crimes Squad (WDMCS) were called to the scene to assist in the investigation. Police are asking for help with identifying the suspects.
