Man Charged with Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend Outside Fairfield Hookah Lounge
The man is accused of punching the woman in the face and kicking her.

Fairfield police arrested a Bridgeport man for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend outside the Sky Hookah Lounge on Kings Highway East early Sunday morning.
Joey D. Philson, 22, is accused of confronting the woman as she attempted to get into her car and punching her in the face and kicking her. He also allegedly dented the hood of her car.
Police responded to the scene after receiving a call from employees of the hookah lounge at about 2:45 a.m. about a group of four men, including Philson, who were refusing to leave the premises, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

Philson was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief and breach of peace. He was held on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 21, according to the Fairfield Minuteman.
