Man Struck, Killed By Train In Fairfield: Police
The MTA Police Department is investigating the incident in cooperation with Fairfield police.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A man was struck and killed by a Metro-North train Wednesday in Fairfield, according to police.
The incident occurred about 3:45 p.m. east of the Fairfield Metro station, where the train struck a person who was not authorized to be on the tracks, according to a Metropolitan Transportation Authority spokeswoman.
Officers were on the scene about 4 p.m. in the area of 165 Commerce Drive, Fairfield police said.

"We can confirm that a male of an unknown age was struck/killed by a Metro North Train," the Fairfield Police Department said in a tweet.
The MTA Police Department is investigating the incident in cooperation with local police, according to the MTA spokeswoman. Metro-North was reporting delays on the New Haven Line of up to 15-20 minutes as a result of the incident and ongoing investigation, she said.
