Motorcycle Stolen During ‘Test Drive’: Fairfield Police

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield Police are investigating a pair of vehicle thefts that occurred over the weekend. A motorcycle was stolen on Suburban Avenue at about 8:05 p.m. on March 31. It is the second theft of a motorcycle/moped in the Brooklawn area recently, according to police.

Police said that during each theft, the owners met a prospective buyer and the suspect fled during a "test drive."

A vehicle was also reported stolen from the Fairfield Train Station at about 2:10 a.m. on April 1. Police said the owner of the vehicle believes the keys were taken from her coat pocket while at a local restaurant.
