New Exhibit About Fairfield's Foods To Open At Town Museum

Via the Fairfield Museum: FAIRFIELD, CT — The public is invited to a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Fairfield Museum & History Center to open its newest exhibition, From the Ground Up: Fairfield’s Foods. The event features hard cider from Spoke + Spy Ciderworks, snacks from the new BD Provisions in Fairfield’s Brick Walk and access to the exhibit.

From the Ground Up explores how local foods are important to traditions and how they have shaped Fairfield and the region’s identity over time. The exhibition is sponsored by Experience Fairfield.

Guests can also view the new items in the museum’s Creating Community exhibit, including the Robert Lambdin mural of Old Black Rock Harbor and Brooklawn: A Walk in the Park. The museum is located at 370 Beach Road. Visit fairfieldhistory.org for more information.
