Recording artists Eric Donnelly and Tim Warren, members of the band The Alternate Routes, will perform ‘A Night of Music’ on Saturday, June 1 at 7:30 pm at the Gaelic American Club in Fairfield. Proceeds from this event will support the performance of Tracy James’ 'Forty Shades of Green' at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Hailing from Bridgeport, Connecticut, The Alternate Routes first burst onto the scene in 2005 with their breakthrough album Good and Reckless and True. They released several albums on Vanguard Records and toured extensively on their own, relentlessly refining their craft. They have collaborated with such artists as singer-songwriter Patti Griffin and Carl Broemel of My Morning Jacket, as well as director Lisa Cholodenko (The Kids Are All Right). They’ve performed on ‘The Late Show with Craig Ferguson,’ ‘Late Night with Conan O’Brien’ and have been repeat guests on National Public Radio’s ‘Mountain Stage.’

Art imitates life in “Forty Shades of Green,” when an American theatre troupe bringing their play to Ireland must endure a wild car ride with a rogue GPS, suicidal sheep, unhinged luggage, and a laughable language barrier all before they even get to the theatre! Based on a real-life theatre troupe trip to Ireland, “Forty Shades of Green Tour” had its premier performances in Clonlara and Ballinskelligs, Ireland.
