In addition to presenting this beautiful music, the two organizations are committed to a “collective impact” production, bridging the gap between the arts and the local community. “Both of our boards of directors are submitting names of local nonprofits that echo the theme of this show. Once the partner nonprofit for this production is chosen we will be able to highlight their work as a part of our presentation” says Kristin Huffman, Artistic Director of NPT.

“This is an exciting opportunity to present a version of West Side Story that has only recently been made available to orchestra’s. We are honored to have been chosen by the Bernstein Foundation, and we are thrilled to be working with NPT to bring this special evening to life” says Sandra Miklave, Executive Director or the NSO.
