FAIRFIELD– Notre Dame High School completed its annual Service Day on Friday, November 18th. As the main event of the Lancers’ 26 Acts of Kindness campaign, Service Day gives students, faculty, staff and parents the opportunity to unite as a school and make a positive impact on the community.
“This year’s Service Day was a huge success,” Principal Christopher Cipriano commented. “With 503 volunteers spread out across 40 different locations, we were able to complete over 3,000 hours of service in a single day. Year after year, I am continually impressed by the generosity and dedication of our Lancer family.”
"Notre Dame is the only school that I know of that offers students an opportunity to participate in service projects during a typical school day. Service Day displays that value exponentially," said Brianna Seaborn '23. "I can honestly say that I always walk away from an experience helping others feeling grateful for having had the chance to participate. Service opens your eyes to the blessings you have in your life as well as the needs that exist in the world. The service opportunities at Notre Dame have helped me expand my horizons, practice my faith, and set me on track for a great future!”
