Obituary: Ellen Marie Cavaiuolo, 70, of Southport

Ellen Marie Roche Cavaiuolo, 70, of Southport, beloved wife of the late John Cavaiuolo, passed away peacefully in her home with loving family by her side on Tuesday, March 27, 2018.

Ellen will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Tricia Palsa and her husband James, of Fairfield, Kristin Osvay and her husband Kevin, of Fairfield; four adoring grandchildren, Katelyn and Matthew Palsa, Benjamin and Reese Osvay; her sister, Patricia Freiler and her husband Tom; her brother, John Roche and his wife Camille; countless nieces, nephews, and many other close family members and dear friends. In addition to her devoted husband, John, Ellen was predeceased by her parents, John and Nora Roche; and two sisters, Mary Bentley and Margaret Macey.

Ellen was born and lived in Manhattan before moving with her family to Westport in 1983, and made Southport her home in 2010. Ellen enjoyed her years working as a consultant for Citibank, where she met her husband, John. She loved being a mother and spending time with family and friends. Her greatest joy came from helping others. The world was a much better place with her in it; she will be greatly missed by many.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke Church, 49 North Turkey Hill Road, Westport. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield.
