Overnight Hit-And-Run Crash Causes Damage In Fairfield: Police
The driver fled before officers arrived and a K9 was unable to track the person, according to Fairfield police.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A hit-and-run crash left a Fairfield road damaged and closed for several hours over the weekend, according to police.
A vehicle was traveling north on Burr Street in the overnight hours Saturday into Sunday, when it crossed the double yellow line and struck a utility pole, damaging the pole, the vehicle and the roadway, police said. The driver fled before officers arrived and a K9 was unable to track the person, according to police.
Burr Street was closed until mid-afternoon Sunday between Wood House Road and Stonewall Lane due to the incident, police said, adding the crash remains under investigation.
